Welcome to Christmas London! Look at my Christmas wreath. Do you like Christmas decorations? After mistletoe, holly is the most festive Christmas plant. You can often see it in Christmas decorations and cards. London is a magical place during Christmas. We often travel by trains in London. It is usually the quickest way to get across the city, but you don´t see much of London. The London Underground is better known as the Tube. Take the bus and enjoy the best experiences. There are double-decker buses in London. Look! A black cab. Black cabs are the taxis in London. They are not always black. You can visit a lot of interesting places in London, for example Westminster with the Houses of Parliament. One of the most famous parts of the Houses of Parliament is a clock tower with Big Ben (the bell inside the tower). Famous red telephone boxes are everywhere. And red postboxes too. The view from the London Eye is amazing. County Hall is a large building next to the London Eye. The Sea Life London Aquarium is in this building. This is Buckingham Palace. You must visit! You can see squirrels in the Green Park right next to Buckingham Palace. London has lots of parks. Look! A guard in front of Buckingham Palace. Horse Guards in Whitehall is the official entrance to Buckingham Palace. Let´s have fun! Choose your favourite book, for example in Hatchards on Piccadilly. It is the oldest bookshop in the United Kingdom. Let´s enjoy the British Museum. Welcome to the British Museum. Don´t miss the Egyptian collections with their fantastic items. Let´s buy some presents. Oxford Street is London´s busiest shopping street. The area is best known for it´s Christmas lights. You can also buy some souvenirs there. I like teddies. Look! The Shard! It is the tallest building in the United Kingdom. You can find it near London Bridge. The view from the Shard is beautiful! Cross London Bridge. You can see a full-size copy of Sir Francis Drake´s galleon Golden Hinde in St Mary Overie´s Dock by London Bridge. Try some of the Thames river cruises. Look at the famous Tower Bridge! HMS Belfast (a warship) is a floating museum on the River Thames close to Tower Bridge. Tower Bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London. You can skate in front of the castle in winter. I love skating in front of the Natural History Museum too. I often visit the Natural History Museum. I love animals. I can learn a lot of interesting things about them in this museum. There are a lot of museums in London. Discover life on board of Cutty Sark in Greenwich. Have fun! Do you like brownies? You can taste some at one of the London markets. Street markets are fun to visit! You can also taste popular fish and chips. Don´t forget to buy Christmas crackers.
